“ Newish place for dumplings and fusion dishes in Chinatown. They have very inventive dishes with a lot of truffle fusions. The beef noodles we have with truffle was really good I can't get enough of the flavors. Service is excellent as we were attentively helped with everything even when they were busy. The place filled up quickly for lunch on a weekend. Their presentation is fun too like the crab noodle was suspended in the air with chopsticks and the sauce poured on table side. The dumplings were on a Multi level shelf. I'm planning to come back here to try other dishes soon! ”
“ Took my friends visiting from New York here and honestly am so happy I did! Starting with the service and the vibes of the restaurant were amazing with our server being so kind and attentive. We got a couple things to share but the crab noodles, sesame chicken and the cucumber salad were the star of the show. Every item we received was packed with flavor and it was a nice comforting meal. You definitely have to go here and it's reasonably priced. ”
“ This place was actually our second choice after we couldn't get into a busier restaurant down the street. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the duck pot sticker. I still need to return to the restaurant down the street, but I am happy that fate brought us here. BB ”
“ 4.5 stars Fusion Dumpling is a modern, kitschy Chinatown eatery sporting a diverse menu of Chinese eats, including dumplings, noodles, and spicy Sichuan dishes. We started with the Vegetable Baos--soft, fluffy, steamed buns with a filling of chopped greens; pork soup dumplings (XLB), a soupy minced pork filling wrapped by a soft dumpling skin; and a giant crab, pork, and shrimp XLB (which came with a straw for drinking the soup). We got pan-fried baos with pork soup filling and a fusion "spider" pan-fried bao, filled with beef, cheese, and corn. This bao was almost like a cheeseburger (though with more cheese than ground beef) and a unique, creative dish, though I probably wouldn't order it again. One special dish for Chinese New Year was the Lucky Pocket, which were four "moneybags" made from soft, juicy tofu stuffed with shrimp. The moneybags were drizzled with a sticky sweet and sour sauce and lined on a plate with steamed broccoli. But the most photogenic dish of all was the Crab Meat Lomein, a bowl of soft noodles with seaweed, on which our server poured a savory crab meat sauce right at our table. The luscious, seafoody sauce went nicely with the slippery seaweed and soft noodles, which were held up by a floating pair of chopsticks! Of course, this was just a visual illusion, but it showcased the creativity that set this restaurant apart. My favorite dish of all was the Dan Dan Noodles, mixed with a delicious spicy peanut sauce and topped with ground meat and scallions! For our entrees, the Ma Po Tofu was a spicy dish combining fermented bean sauce and soft tofu in a flaming pot; the Chinese cauliflower was woked with dried red chilies and Sichuan peppercorns; the Crispy Garlic Fish Fillet were battered pieces of fish tossed with garlic and chilies; and the String Beans were deep-fried and sautéed with onions and dried red chilies. Overall, the food here was decent, the presentation was creative, and the service was quick and efficient, though the menu prices weren't cheap for the portions. ”
“ Great place for dumplings, right in the heart of chinatown! Very affordable prices too. My favorite items were the tan tan noodles and the garlic eggplant. You order by using a marker on a dry-erase menu. They have all the classics you would expect like XLB, peking duck, etc but also have some new and creative items you might not. ”
“ I love the interior of this restaurant, it is very cute and beautiful at the same time, and just has a great ambiance. The food came out quickly, and we got the vegetable dumplings, asparagus, cucumber salad, wonton appetizers, and sesame balls. Everything tasted great. They have a large menu so I'm excited to try more items off their menu in the future! ”
“ The food is amazing and the atmosphere and presentation of the food is hard to beat. There's a reason this place is frequented by influencers recommending dim sum. The service is a little slow but that's because it's always very busy. The servers themselves are excellent. I wish the place had more vegetarian options for dim sum or mor fish based dim sum but the entrees make up for that ”
“ I came back to Fusion Dumplings after seeing a performance at the nearby Great Star Theater and had a nice early dinner! I've been here before and love the relaxed ambiance- Everything is comfortable and approachable. The staff was friendly too! For four people we were able to enjoy a couple of dishes family style, like the pan fried dumplings (my personal favorite!) orange chicken, veggie spring rolls, seafood and noodles, and tan tan noodles. We noticed on our way out that there was a line forming almost out to the door to get a table for dinnertime, so plan accordingly. ”
“ We brought a friend from Singapore here and he was very impressed with how authentic the food was. The service was prompt and excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant! ”
